The Caribbean region is an archiphelagic region and are territories of different countries. It is a preferred route for ship cruises because of its diverse island groups, perfect weather, pristine beaches, friendly natives, and perfect location to unwind and relax. Many nation-states are located in this area and are surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea; North, Central and South America bound the region. Many islands in the region are territories and are former colonies for different states like the United Kingdom, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and the United States.
